Transport (rental car ...or other)

Rental Car

In Myanmar , we didn’t move with rental car, since one can not rent a car and drive it by himself, so we travelled with a package that we chose from the tourist agency Go Myanmar Tours, and which we adjusted to the time we had available.

We were given an air-conditioned car, along with a driver and an English speaking tour guide for each city that we visited.

We chose hotels of our preference to each city.

Μετακινήσεις

The roads in Myanmar, to all the places that we moved around the cities, were in good condition.

Τιμές Βενζίνης

The petrol price in Myanmar. You may check the prices here.

Climate- weather (luggage)

The best season for a journey to Myanmar is the dry season, from November till February.
During this period the rains are rare and it is not very hot.
From March and onwards, the temperature is higher and from mid May till mid June there is the Monsoon Season with lots of raining.

Proper clothing

Prefer light clothes that can be worn in layers and comfortable flat shoes ξεκούραστα παπούτσια.
If you move with a rental car, things are much easier, since you have your luggage with you all along

Foreign exchange

You may make exchange at Yangon’s airport and at the banks, by exchanging American dollars (new, from 1997 and onwards, in an absolutely perfect condition), paying of course the necessary commission.
Euros and dollars in bad shape are not being accepted. Credit Cards are used in the hotels.

Equivalence USA Dollar - Kyat Burmese (NMK)

1.00 $ = 1.367 NMK

You may check the prices here.

Contacting your Embassy
