29nth of April
New destination “The Garden City of the East”

We flew with Turkish Airlines to Bangkok, through Istanbul.
We arrived next day, at noon.
We took our luggage and explored the airport, till time arrived for our flight to Yangon.

We exchanged some currency, had coffee and two hours before our flight’s scheduled departure time, we went for check in.  We flew, late in the afternoon, with  Myanmar National Airlines to Yangon.

We arrived in the evening, passed through passport control, took our luggage, left airport and eventually set foot in Yangon.

We were waited there by our tour guide, Mr. Soe Yi, who was going to drive us to our hotel Hotel Millenium, located near the river.
We made arrangements for the next day’s program and then he left us to rest.
We had already taken a first taste of  Yangon, during the course from the airport to the hotel.

The city is widely known as “The Garden City of the East”.
Our first impression was that it was too hot, too humid and very crowded.

Too tired to leave the hotel and start our exploration, we simply went up, to the terrace, where we found the restaurant of the hotel and we saw all lit up the city of Yangon, while night was falling and before we go to bed.
