Necessary documents

For travelling to Cuba

  • You must be able to present valid ticket, when leaving your country.
  • Entrance Visa in  order to enter Cuba.
  • Travelling Documents. Only passport, six months valid, at least.

Vaccines and medicines, health cards

Cuba has developed a highly advanced health care system.

Air tickets – comfortable seats

The best prices from Greece are with Aeroflot.

We travelled from Thessaloniki till Mexico City with Lufthansa
through Munich and returned through Houston and Frankfurt.

From Mexico City to Havana with Cubana Air.
We waited 2,5 hours for our suitcases.

Climate- weather (luggage)

Best season for a journey to Cuba.

Proper clothing

Prefer light clothes that can be worn in layers and flat comfortable shoes.

Definitely take with you windproof and waterproof jackets.

If you move with a rental car, things are much easier, since you have your luggage with you all along.

Foreign exchange

The best solution is to make exchange at the cash machines, by paying of course the necessary commission.
Credit cards are used almost nowhere.
